Zed and her family move unwillingly from London to Cornwall to support her mother's mental health.
Gradually the family begins to fall apart, and it's only when Zed realises the local Cormorants have something to do with the disasters that are consuming them - that they are attempting to right an ancient wrong - that she and her sister Amy start working together to find a solution to call a truce.
Set around a river based on the River Fowey, local author Clare Owen has captured the trials of growing up by weaving it into the mystery and legends of the Cornish landscape. Signed copies are available - just email email@example.com to request one.
